This Privacy Policy explains what information still.frame collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to the still.frame website and app (the "Service").

1. Information We Collect

Account information: your email address and password (stored securely, never in plain text).

Content you provide: footage, audio, and hook/caption text you upload or create in order to generate videos.

Usage data: basic technical information like browser type, device type, and how you interact with the Service, used to keep it running and to improve it.

Payment information: if you subscribe to a paid plan, billing details are handled directly by our payment processor — we don't store your full card number on our own servers.

Connected Instagram accounts: if you choose to connect an Instagram professional account so still.frame can publish your videos, we receive your Instagram account ID, username and an access token from Instagram. We use them only to publish the videos you schedule or publish from still.frame, and to show you whether each one was posted. We don't read your messages, followers or other content, and we don't post anything you didn't choose.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information above to: provide and operate the Service (including rendering and storing your videos), maintain your account, process payments, respond to support requests, and improve the Service's reliability and features. We don't sell your personal information.

3. Storage and Security

Your account data, uploaded footage, and rendered videos are stored on secured infrastructure. We use industry-standard measures to protect against unauthorized access, but no system is perfectly secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

4. Third-Party Services

We rely on third-party infrastructure providers (for hosting and storage) and a payment processor (for billing) to operate the Service. These providers only receive the information they need to perform their function.

When you connect Instagram, videos you publish and their captions are sent to Meta (Instagram) under Meta's own terms and privacy policy.

We use the Meta Pixel on our website to measure how people who see our ads on Facebook and Instagram use the site (for example page views, sign-ups and purchases), so we can tell which ads work. Meta may combine this with information it has about you under its own privacy policy.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

We keep your account data and content for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us; we'll delete it within a reasonable timeframe, except where we're required to retain records for legal or accounting reasons.

You can disconnect Instagram at any time in Settings, which deletes the access token, account details and post history we stored for it. Removing still.frame from your Instagram account's connected apps does the same. Full instructions are on our data deletion page.

6. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to object to certain processing. Contact us to exercise these rights.

7. Cookies

We use functional cookies (such as keeping you signed in) and the Meta Pixel described in section 4, which sets cookies used to measure our Facebook and Instagram ads. We don't sell your personal information.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll post the updated version here with a new "Last updated" date.
